On a personal note, our first camp season in 2020 was anything but what we expected. Our spaces were closed, trips were cancelled except our overnight camping trip, we pivoted to an outdoor camp model and successfully ended our first camp season with 0 Covid-19 cases. Our team worked endlessly to develop and implement safety regulations and procedures to make being together in-person possible for 2021. We are ready to face the unknown, head on and together.
Campers will be in small tribes that do not mix. Groups will be assigned a consistent camp counselor. These tribes will remain as stable as possible for the duration of camp.
We recommend campers produce to our staff a negative test before coming to camp and while in camp we recommend getting campers tested bi-weekly. If your family is opposed to getting your camper tested, we will need to re-evaluate other options with the guidance of our health director.
All of our staff will be required to wear a mask at all times during the day. Campers will be strongly encouraged to do so at all times, and required when they are indoors and/or unable to physically distance from other tribes or campers, except for when eating or drinking or contraindicated per CDC recommendations. Campers will not need to wear them during water activities or if they are playing or sitting outside at least 6ft away from others. We ask that you provide a mask for your child each day in anticipation of this. Backup masks are on site as well.
Before Camp Expect:
Daily Health Screening, checking of Vital readings- pulse oximeter + temperature checks
During Camp:
Indoor Spaces will have air purifiers, 6 feet markings, well-ventilated program areas and continuous UV Ray sanitizing
